Hyundai - Error Code P0103
This P0103 diagnostic trouble code (DTC) means the Mass Airflow (MAF) Sensor has a high voltage output to the Engine Control Unit (ECU).
Causes:
-
MAF wiring may be too close to other wiring, causing interference.
-
Air intake system may have a leak like a such as in the vacuum hose or air intake hose.
-
Loose hose clamps or other intake leak before the MAF sensor.
Symptoms:
- Engine Light On
- May run slightly erratically
- May have less power
- May back fire and idle inconsistently
Diagnose & Repair:

Inspect the electrical connector to the MAF. Disconnect it and then reinstall to insure fresh electrical connection to remove any corrosion on the contacts.

Check for wiring being frayed, damaged, or broken on the connector.

Check for vacuum leaks on the intake manifold hose and fittings.
