Hyundai - Error Code P0102

This P0102 diagnostic trouble code (DTC) means there is excessively low voltage from the sensor is sent to Engine Control Module (ECM)

Causes:

• Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor
• Intake air leaks
• Dirty Mass Air Flow Sensor/Filter
• Electrical short on the Mass Air Flow Sensor harness
• Poor electrical connection on the Mass Air Flow Sensor circuit

Symptoms:

• Engine Light On
• Stalling
• Engine running rough
• Bad fuel economy
• Excessive exhaust smoke smoke

Diagnose & Repair:

• Inspect the electrical connector to the MAF. Disconnect it and then reinstall to insure fresh electrical connection to remove any corrosion on the contacts.

  
  

• Check for wiring being frayed, damaged, or broken on the connector.

  
  

• Check for vacuum leaks on the intake manifold hose and fittings.
